Condo Project Summary
This is a new condo project located at a prime spot along the future Yonge North Subway Extension.
100 Steeles Avenue West Condos is a new high-rise mixed-use condominium development in the Crestwood-Springfarm-Yorkhill community. This pre-construction project is located at 100 Steeles Ave W, Thornhill. It will feature three towers between 40 and 55 storeys with 1,845 residential units.
Steps from Yonge St and Steeles Ave. This project will also feature commercial space and public parks, while the towers will also be divided by two grand, multifunctional podiums.
Amenities
100 Steeles Avenue West Condos will be split into two blocks. Block 1 to the west will feature a single 40-storey tower, a wide 8-storey podium, and a playground at the rear. Block 2 to the east will feature a 55-storey tower closer to the main road and a 40-storey tower further back, connected by another 8-storey podium. It will also include an open-space park behind the building.
The buildings themselves will feature terraces and balconies. Initial renderings indicate elegant grey metal and dark brick facades with bird-friendly glass. A new, gently curving road cutting between the two podiums creates soft waves in the building designs.
The complex will contain 1,845 residential units: 968 studio and one-bedroom, 791 two-bedroom, 53 three-bedroom, and 33 townhouse units, offering a wide selection of living options for individuals, couples, and families. Sections of the podiums facing Steeles Ave will also have commercial space at grade, in keeping with the surrounding street style while providing additional convenience for residents.
Other amenities include 16,146 sq. ft. indoor and 21,280 sq. ft. outdoor space for a whopping total of 37,426 sq. ft. of amenity space. There will also be six levels of underground parking to provide 1,243 car spaces and 1,110 bike spaces.
Location & Neighbourhood
Yonge St and Steeles Ave are two significant arterial roads that also mark the boundaries of Vaughan (west of Yonge), Markham (east of Yonge), and Toronto (south of Steeles). The condo site is also less than 10 km from four major highways — 407 to the north, 404 to the east, 401 to the south, and 400 to the west — all of which offer advantageous accessibility to the Greater Toronto Area.
100 Steeles Avenue West Condosis lLocated right across the street from Centerpoint Mall and surrounded by exciting shops and restaurants, this location also boasts enviable public transit at the meeting point of Vaughan, Markham, and Toronto. Thanks to the upcoming subway expansion, it will surely be one of the most desirable sites to invest in for guaranteed future value.
Currently, it’s a quick TTC bus down to Finch subway station or a convenient VIVA bus up to Newmarket along Yonge. However, with the Yonge North Subway Extension underway — including a confirmed stop at Steeles — there will be added value to the condo location as it will have even faster access to places like Markham and Richmond Hill in the future.
Additionally, RapidTO is due to perform transit priority studies on Steeles Ave W in anticipation of the increased traffic brought on by the new subway stop. This could result in improvements to the road and possibly the implementation of a new light-rail transit system. The future of transit options looks increasingly brighter for this already-popular intersection!
Even without cars or buses, This complex is surrounded by plenty of conveniences within walking distance. No Frills is across the street for groceries, and Galleria (a popular Korean supermarket) is just around the corner. There are plenty of diverse restaurants within walking distance, too, including excellent options for Korean food at Daldongnae (tabletop BBQ), Cho Sun Ok (spicy stews), and The Cups (shaved ice).
This area has a prominent Korean-Canadian population, which accounts for the many restaurants and cafes offering traditional Korean and fusion cuisine and unique businesses like spas and karaoke bars. A bit further south is properly considered Toronto’s Koreatown North, but other diverse restaurants are around the condo development.
There’s delicious South Indian cuisine at Chowrasta next door and popular creperie Muncheez down the street. And for special occasions, The Octagon is a classic steakhouse restaurant with impeccable white tablecloth service that has been a neighbourhood landmark for decades.
Of course, there are also plenty of shops in the area, including Centerpoint Mall, which features Hudson’s Bay, Canadian Tire, and more. And, Promenade Mall is less than a 10-min drive northwest, featuring over 150 stores and services, including T&T Supermarket, Imagine Cinemas, Club Monaco, Forever 21, and Urban Planet. This condo project is also flanked by two bustling plazas packed with specialty stores and services.
Many local parks are nearby, the closest being Goulding Park on the other side of Centerpoint. It has an arena, outdoor pool, baseball fields, and plenty of green space. G Ross Lord Park is a more extensive park just a 12-min drive away, which features 4 km of cycling and walking trails, multiple sports fields, an off-leash dog area, picnic sites, and even fishing ponds.
Young families will want to note several elementary and secondary schools within a 3 km radius, including Central Montessori School (Thornhill Campus), Drewry Secondary School, and Blessed Scalabrini Catholic Elementary School, all of which are highly rated. And for students, York University is also conveniently nearby (just 7 km west) and very accessible by transit along Steeles. Seneca College is almost equally close, just 8 km east, making this condo location an excellent choice for students and families.
