Artworks Tower is located in the newly thriving neighbourhood of Regent Park, which was once considered a rougher part of town, but today has a diverse mix of housing filled with young families. This preconstruction condo will also involve 22,000 square feet of retail on the ground level.

There will be a total of 347 condos in this development, and that will be broken down into studio units from 365 square feet, 1-bedroom units from 454 square feet, 1-bedroom plus den units from 585 square feet, 2-bedroom units from 625 square feet and 3-bedroom plus den units from 991 square feet.

These will also include accessibility designed suites that feature roll-in showers, roll-out balconies and much more at no additional cost. Additionally, live/work condo units will be allocated to professional musicians who need a place to practice their craft.

Most of the amenities will be located on the 3rd and 4th floors. The 3rd floor with feature 2,160 square feet of outdoor amenity space on the northern side of the podium in between the towers. There will also be 4,049 square feet of indoor amenity directly in between to towers on the third floor.

There will be indoor amenity space in between the podiums on the fourth floor too, this time accounting for 5,526 square feet. There will be rooftop amenity space on the 4th floor as well, which will include a community garden.

The building’s list of amenities begin with a fully equipped mega fitness centre where the workout plan is completely up to you. Wether you are interested in weight training or cardio, this centre will sure have you coverd. Next, Daniels has also carved out space for the perfect co-working environment. Here, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and work-at-home employees have the opportunity to  network, community build and expand their business. The building’s stylish party room is the perfect space to play host for any occassion. A workshop area has been incorporated in to the design plan for “do-it-yourself” bike repairs. Additionally, the kids play areas are also prioritized throughout the indoor and outdoor amenities.

Not only is there a focus on increasing the residential density and community engagement in the neighbourhood, but this project is also going to bring a lot of new retail options. There will be several commercial retail units on the ground level facing Dundas Street, as well as an anchor tenant that will have a ground floor entrance, and 14,830 square feet of floor space on the second floor.

Location & Neighbourhood

This development is in the Regent Park neighbourhood, and it will sit on the northern side of Dundas Street East in between Sackville Street to the west and Sumach Street to the east. The project will be surrounded by high-rise residential housing, and is also adjacent to the Regent Park Aquatic Centre. This is a comprehensive aquatic facility with a 25 meter lap pool, leisure pool, spa pool, tarzan rope, diving board and water slide.

Facing Dundas Street East, there is plenty of street level transit right on 620 Dundas building’s doorstep. This area has an excellent Transit Score of 92/100, which means that you have access to world-class transportation. The streetcars often travel down this corridor, and they can easily take you across the entire city, including to Dundas Station, which connects to the Line 1 Yonge-University subway line. This makes getting around the entire GTA a breeze.

The surrounding area is a walker’s paradise, with a Walk Score of 95/100 it means that residents living here won’t need a car to do daily errands. This is largely due to the Shoppers Drug Mart that’s directly across the street. There’s also a Fresh Co a short walk away toward the west, so between these two stores, residents can pick up anything they need.

This is going to be a massive development in Regent Park, and it will add considerable density in the neighbourhood. In addition to the residential density, there will be more retail in the area with the implementation of several commercial retail units that will face onto Dundas Street East.

The anchor store on the second floor of the podium will likely be a department store or grocery store, truly making all the essentials at your fingertips.
