Condo Project Summary
This condominium is the first phase of Auberge on the Park, a master-planned community by Tridel and Rowntree Enterprises in the Don Mills neighbourhood. Steps from the upcoming LRT line and surrounded by the lush Sunnybrook Park, Auberge on the Park Condos is expected to welcome occupants in 2022.
It will occupy the site at 1095 Leslie Street just north of Eglinton Street East, which was once the location of the beloved Inn on the Park, a luxury hotel that closed its doors in 2005.
Part of a multi-phase project, this tower will stand 45 storeys and house 402 contemporary suites, ranging from one-bedroom layouts to spacious two-storey, townhome-style models. With floorplans larger than you would find in a typical downtown condominium, this project brings together the best of natural resources, rapid transit access and modern living spaces.
Amenities
This new project is slated to stand 45 storeys, grounded by a podium that will house a lobby and residential amenities. Eventually, the project’s second tower – standing 29 storeys – will share the same podium.
You’ll find a wide range of floorplans here, with a selection of:
- One and two-bedroom layouts that range from 538 square feet to 1,352.
- Signature suites, which range from 1,550 square feet to 2,070
- Terrace suites from 1,333 square feet to 2,079
- Two-storey units that range from 1,300 square feet to 1,930.
All suites will have large wrap-around balconies or terraces and will have access to an underground parking lot. The development calls for a new public street through the site, as well as landscaped pathways, to encourage pedestrian and bicycle activity within the community.
Architectural firm Graziani + Corazza has been brought on board to design the buildings, a firm with a prolific portfolio of stylish condominium buildings to their name. Renderings for this condominium show a series of contemporary, modular buildings with varying stepbacks that allows for pocketed greenspace. This gives the entire community a fresh, modern look that will likely become a focal point for the neighbourhood.
Location & Neighbourhood
The Don Mills neighbourhood has so much going for it. Just a fifteen-minute drive to the heart of downtown Toronto, it feels entirely removed from the congestion. One of the site’s biggest perks is its proximity to Sunnybrook Park, which sits just south of the project. Boasting 147 acres, the lush park has endless cycling and strolling paths, dog parks, picnic sites, even a horseback-riding facility.
Continuing north, the park turns into the Toronto Botanical Gardens, the perfect place to get lost among the flowers on a sunny Saturday afternoon. To the east of the site stretches the 3km Leaside Spur Trail, popular with cyclists and hikers alike. Beyond that is the Don River, surrounded by a leafy conservation area.
If the greenspace and endless recreation opportunities aren’t enough to sway you, the site is also minutes from the newly-renovated Shops at Don Mills, which boasts high-end retailers, salons, myriad eateries, Cineplex Cinemas and a 24-hour Metro grocery store.
If education is your thing, the development is close to reputable schools, as well as the Ontario Science Center. The Aga Khan Museum, one of Toronto’s contemporary architectural and cultural landmarks, is also a short drive away.
It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the upcoming Sunnybrook Park Station on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. With easy access to the Don Valley Parkway, commuting downtown or to other parts of the city is a breeze for drivers too.
Culture, transit, schools, green space and shopping? When you call Auberge on the Park your home, you don’t have to compromise on any of those things.
